Special plaster mold, suitable for the production of hollow objects by casting Slipfast or slip.
This mold allows the creation of 1 pitcher with a height of 200 mm, a base diameter of 120 mm, and an opening diameter of 80 mm.
The measurements are taken from a once-fired sample.
Instructions for use
Dilute Slipfast or slip with water to achieve the desired viscosity. Using a jug, pour the product into the mold, filling it to the brim. As the water is absorbed, the level will drop proportionally, so it will be necessary to top it off. Let it sit for 10-30 minutes, depending on the desired final thickness. Pour out the remaining liquid, which, once filtered, can be reused. Let it drain thoroughly by leaving the small molds upside down for a few minutes (for large molds, it is best not to turn them upside down). Using a wide, thin-bladed tool, open the mold starting from the base and gently remove the pieces, which will be of a decent hardness but still workable to remove joint marks or imperfections. Let them dry for another 12-24 hours (depending on the thickness) and then proceed with firing for the slip or decoration for Slipfast.
