TIXO AGENT FOR SILICON RUBBER GSA

Additive necessary to make all silicone rubbers that polymerize with a polyaddition reaction, pourable into brushable and spreadable rubbers.

It should be added at any time to the catalyzed rubber: it acts by interaction with component B.
Mixing must be homogeneous, to avoid more fluid rubber parts and others more viscous.
However, if this does not occur, the correct hardening is not compromised.

Recommended usage rates

The usage rate is between 0.1% and 1.5-2%.

Examples of use in the pourable liquid rubbers of the GLS-PRO range:

• 0.1% makes them slightly brushable,
• 0.3% makes them similar to RTV-TIXO N,
• 0.6% makes them spreadable for low thicknesses,
• 0.9-1% makes them spreadable for strong thicknesses,
• above 1%, proper fillers are obtained.

Storage

• At temperatures between 10 and 30°C.
• Keep the container tightly closed and not directly exposed to sunlight. The product, if kept in the dark in its perfectly sealed original container and at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, is stable for at least 12 months from the production date.
• Longer storage or storage in different conditions than those described above may alter the characteristics of the product, compromising its use.

Recommendations for safe use

• Wear gloves and eye protection for splashes.
• Do not disperse residues into the environment.
• Dispose of it at an authorized recovery center.
