A 5-day journey designed to guide you from the basics to advanced micromosaic techniques, allowing you to create unique contemporary jewelry with your own hands and creativity.
You will learn how to melt enamel, a special Venetian glass paste, and pull it into colorful threads to produce tiny tesserae to bring your micromosaic to life.
In addition to creating two personalized micromosaics, you will work one-on-one at the torch with the instructor to create your own enamel threads.
The course will be held in Italian and English.
• Prepare the Roman stucco, the base element of micromosaic.
• Create threads in different sizes and shapes, including rectangular, round, and curved.
• Create malmischiato threads.
• Cut the threads to produce small tesserae to assemble your jewelry piece.
• Place the tesserae properly to avoid empty spaces and achieve a smooth, even surface.
• Melt enamel to create your own glass threads.
• The instructor will demonstrate the micromosaic polishing process.
2 micromosaic pendants made by you and all the threads created during the course.
All materials and equipment will be provided, but you may bring your own jewelry base (diameter between 18 and 25 mm, depth at least 3.5-4 mm) if you wish.
The course will be confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
Participation in the course is reserved for individuals aged 16 and over.
