Biography

Rebecca Di Filippo is an enamel artist based in Milan who learned the art of vitreous enamelling from some of the world’s leading enamelists, including Gillie Hoyte Byrom for miniature art; Kyoko Iio, master of Japanese cloisonné; and Nikolai Vdovkin and Jean Zamora, from whom she learned the classical Limoges techniques of émail peint and grisaille.
After dedicating more than ten years to mastering all the secrets of vitreous enamelling, achieving full proficiency in applications for high jewellery and sacred furnishings, she now teaches this very rare art so that it may be preserved and valued.
